Russian Teacakes

Course Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup pecans or walnuts chopped fine
  • 2 1/4 cup flour

Instructions
 

  • In large mixing bowl blend together butter, powdered sugar, nuts, vanilla and salt. Chill dough for 20 minutes.
  • Roll into 1 inch balls and place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • While still warm roll them in powdered sugar.
  • Then once they have cooled roll them again.
