Hamburger Pies (Homemade Hot Pockets)

You can make this like hot pockets by making several small ones instead of one big one.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 recipe Bisquick biscuits or 4 cans of biscuit dough
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion optional
  • One 8 ounce package shredded cheese american or cheddar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup or pizza sauce

Instructions
 

  • Mix the biscuit dough according to the directions on the Bisquick box. Set aside.
  • Brown the ground beef and onion until lightly brown. Then add the ketchup or pizza sauce.
  • Roll out 1/2 the prepared biscuit dough and place on a pie plate or cookie sheet. Then place the browned ground beef mixture on top then the cheese. Roll out the rest of the biscuit dough and place on top. Seal the edges of the two doughs together. Poke a couple holes in the top dough with a fork to let the steam out. Bake at 350° until it is golden brown.

Notes

If you want you can make this like hot pockets by making several small ones instead of one big one. Be sure to poke some holes in the crust to let out steam. They are very tasty. If you like the taste of pizza use pizza sauce in place of the ketchup.
